Review highlights
Based on 342 reviewsRestaurant Ikan Bakar Yap Broga Semenyih is widely recognized for its fresh seafood and reasonable pricing, attracting diners seeking authentic local flavors in a rustic riverside setting. Popular dishes often highlighted include the fried chicken, steamed fish, and tomyam varieties, which offer balanced flavors with customizable spice levels. While some grilled fish dishes receive mixed feedback, the overall food quality remains consistent, even during busy periods. The restaurant's open-air dining and scenic location next to a river contribute to its appeal, although limited parking and a somewhat remote location are noted. Service experiences vary, with some comments on staff demeanor and wait times. Despite minor drawbacks, it remains a favored spot for family and group dining in the Broga area.
Recommended from the glamping staff and believe one of the best around this area. Personally reasonable food taste and pricing. The restaurant located a bit inside after the temple towards farm and narrow lane. The restaurant is beside a river. Fried chicken is reasonable crispy and grilled fish with sauce is not recommended. Maybe try their dry grill or some fried stuff which I feel better. The lemon sauce squid is nice and spicy. This is something different for the squid.
Very delicious food with decent price. 2 x fishes, clam, fried chicken, fried egg with vegetables costs RM 167 for 6 pax. The fishes were very fresh and well cooked with maintained tenderness. This place is crowded but still maintain the quality. Photo was the view from the restaurant.
One of the better tilapia fish farm restaurants around. We liked the Thai chilli gravy fried fish. Unfortunatelu they don't serve noddles or fried rice. It's all dishes + rice servings. Parking available but limited, open aired dining. We came for lunch/dinner around 4pm.
Been here a few times always delicious! The seafood is fresh and full of flavor. The chicken is a must-try not the crispiest, but juicy and pairs perfectly with their homemade sauce. They offer both red and white tomyam, with adjustable spice levels. But, when the red tomyam is made less spicy, it can get a bit saltier but still super appetizing! Same goes for the homemade tofu, which pairs amazingly with their homemade Thai-style sauce. Prices are reasonable, and honestly, with food this good, this’s the reason why I always and only visit this restaurant. Payment is QR or cash only. Even thought the line here is weak due surrounded by the forest, provided the free wifi so that you able payment via qr.
Steamed fish (soy) is good (RM 28, small) Grilled fish thai style is average (ordered less spicy, RM28, small) Omelette is good (RM12, big) Sweet Potato Leaves (with chilli) is good (RM8, small). Con: Must have patient to wait until dishes are served. The elder waitress needs to be well mannered, not friendly while taking order. Shop opens at 11.30am.
